Figuerola Xacuteria - Begur, Spain

I love to come across families that are still working and living closely together. These two brothers Javier & Joan Caner are the 4th generation to run their family's Xacuteria since it opened in 1898 in the medieval town of Begur, along the Costa Brava (Wild Coast) region of northeast Spain.  The pride in their craft was very evident by little things like the great care they take in slicing and wrapping meats and cheeses for their customers.  It was wonderful to witness such passion.
